Nestled in the off-beat hamlet of Hartola in the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand, what began as a personal retreat has now become a welcoming haven for special guests. We take pride in providing a unique and authentic experience, inviting visitors who appreciate the care and attention we put into our cottage.

From October to March, guests can enjoy clear views of the Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli peaks from the cottage. On clear days, these breathtaking vistas can be seen during other months as well. The distant towns of Almora and Ranikhet further enhance the scenic beauty of the location.
Known for its serene atmosphere and population of about 680, Hartola is famous for its orchards, boasting a variety of trees such as figs, apricots, apples, walnuts, plums, pears, and peaches. The name Hartola comes from two Hindi Devanagari words: 'Har' meaning Lord Shiva and 'tola' meaning a unique dwelling place. This name reflects the village's ancient Shiva temple, nestled in the mountains. The sound of temple bells and the chirping of mountain birds create a serene ambience while offering panoramic views of the Himalayan peaks.
Nearby attractions include the Mukteshwar forest reserve, home to the largest population of Banjh (Himalayan Oak), along with Buransh (Rhododendron) and Deodar (Himalayan Cedar) trees, and a rich variety of Himalayan flora and fauna. A few waterfalls, local templates and cafes make your experience serene and holistic.
